Piața Montreal station is located on the east side of Mărăști Boulevard, between Piața Montreal and Piața Presei Libere, beneath the green space north of the STB terminal. The station is 159 meters long and has a maximum width of 25.7 meters.

Progress of works

  • September 2025: 370 m guide beam, 62 diaphragm wall panels, over 10,000 cubic meters excavated and 207 cubic meters concreted. Implementation percentage of civil works: 62%.
  • August 2025: over 7,000 cubic meters excavated and 60 cubic meters concreted. Implementation percentage of civil works: 57%.
  • July 2025: 21 barrettes, 933 plastic piles, 118 piles for Access A, 4 piles for Access C, 3,372 cubic meters excavated. Implementation percentage of civil works: 55.7%.
  • June 2025: 58 diaphragm wall panels out of 62, 917 plastic piles out of 933, 110 piles out of 120 for Access A. Implementation percentage of Civil Works: 54,1%.
  • May 2025: 56 diaphragm wall panels out of 62, 82 piles out of 120 for Access A, all the 54 piles for Access B;
  • April 2025: 365 m guide beam, 51 diaphragm wall panels out of 62, 865 plastic piles, 81 piles out of 120 for Access A, 712 excavated cubic meters;
  • March 2025: 47 diaphragm wall panels, 665 plastic piles, 55 piles out of 120, for Access A, all the 54 de piles for Access B, over 710 excavated cubic meters;

  • December 2024: 325m guide beam, 23 diaphragm wall panels and 394 plastic piles; 21 piles for pentru Access A, and 40 piles for Access B;
  • November 2024: 368 plastic piles; 16 piles for Access A, and 26 plies for Access B;
  • October 2024: 293m guide beam; 22 de pilles for Access C;
  • September 2024: 233m guide beam, 23 diaphragm wall panels and 328 de piles for Accesses A, B and C;
  • August 2024: 140m guide beam and 20 diaphragm wall panels; work has started to reroute telecommunications network.
  • July 2024: we have executed 140m of guide beam out of a total of 365m . On the interstation Piața Montreal – Gara Băneasa, 118 bored piles out of a total of 187 and 11 diaphragm wall panels (out of a total of 64) have been completed.
  • June 2024: axle routings, excavations, reinforcement, shuttering, stripping and backfilling for the guide beam were carried out;
  • May 2024: premeasurements for the guide beam; the excavator for future excavations was transported to the site;
  • March 2024: further topographic measurements were carried out and work on the guide beam continued;
  • February 2024: fencing; excavation for utility network surveys; installation of warning signs; topographic measurements were carried out, the top slab of the underground structure identified on the station site was demolished and the resulting material was evacuated; 469 meters of fencing between the park and the roadway areas, one gate for vehicle access and one for pedestrian access were installed and 239 meters of excavation for utility network surveys were carried out;
