This station will be partially located beneath the roadway of Calea Bucureștilor and the traffic light at its intersection with 23 August Street, the main artery of Otopeni. The station will have two entrances at its southern end, one on the east side and the other on the west side of Calea Bucureștilor. Otopeni Station will be 159 meters long and have a maximum width of 22.16 meters.

Current Work Status

  • November 2025: The execution of the station guide beam is 95% complete, while the guide beam for the barrettes has reached 60%. The Berlin-type temporary support system has been fully completed. Open excavation down to the working platform level stands at 95%, and the construction of the diaphragm walls has reached 30%. 📈 Structural works progress: 55%.
  • October 2025: The guide beam was executed at a rate of 75%; the Berlin-type temporary support system reached 100% completion; open excavation down to the working platform level reached 95%; and the construction of the diaphragm walls (panels P1, P2, P75) progressed to 3.7%. 📈 Structural works progress: 52%
  • September 2025: The Berlin-type retaining wall was completed over a length of 182 linear metres, representing 80% of the total planned works. The excavation for the working platform (Terratest) was carried out for a volume of 600 cubic metres, representing 5% of the total volume. The guide beam for Access A was executed over 56 linear metres, representing 5% of the total length. Demolition and removal works were completed on an area of 1,600 square metres, equivalent to 90% of the total planned works of this type. Traffic Diversion Stage 04 was completed at a progress rate of 85%.
