Ion I.C. Brătianu Station will be located west of Calea București, between Libertății Street and Nicolae Grigorescu Street. The station will have three entrances: two (Entrances A and B) in the green area near the Research Station, connecting to the eastern part of the city, and a third (Entrance C) passing beneath Calea București, providing access to the western part of the city. Ion I.C. Brătianu Station will be 159 meters long with a maximum width of 22.16 meters.

Current Work Status

  • November 2025: The blinding concrete and the waterproofing of the raft foundation were completed 100%, and Raft Plot 2 (370 m³) was poured, reaching a progress of 75%. Structural works progress: 72%.
  • October 2025: Excavation for the raft foundation was completed, and the following works were carried out: blinding concrete for Plot 2 over an area of 600 m² (total 2,000 m² completed to date), additional waterproofing of the raft foundation over 500 m² (total 1,500 m²), and the pouring of the plot, amounting to 550 m³ of concrete. Structural works progress: 68%.
  • September 2025: The final intermediate slab plot (Plot 1), with an area of 800 m², was poured, thus reaching 100% completion for this stage. Excavation for the raft foundation continued, reaching a progress level of 60%. The blinding concrete for Raft Plot 4 was partially poured, covering an area of 450 m².
  • August 2025: Two intermediate floor plots (plots 2 and 3) were cast on a total area of 1,200 square meters, achieving a cumulative percentage of 70%.
  • July 2025: The plastic diaphragm walls on the southern and northern sides of the station were completed, as well as 650 sqm of diaphragm walls for Access A and B. A volume of 9,500 cubic meters was excavated for the intermediate slab, and the last two dewatering wells were completed.

  • June 2025: Nine diaphragm wall panels were built for Access A and B, along with 116 linear meters of guide beam. Three plots of the upper slab were reinforced, and two were concreted. Approximately 4,100 cubic meters were excavated under the upper slab. Eight out of sixteen plastic diaphragm wall panels were built. Six dewatering wells were executed and three equipped.
  • May 2025: 526.81 square meters diaphragm wall panels (station unit) and 97.81m for Access B, 8 barrettes, s-au finalizat 33m guide beam for Access B and 45m for Access A, concrete was poured for Plot 4 of the upper platform (660 cubic meters), 900 square meters of levelling of the upper platform (Plot 3, 4), 800 cubic meters excavated (Plot 2, 3, 4);
  • April 2025: 1,772.23 square meters diaphragm wall panels(station unit), 10 barrettes, 870 square meters concrete poured for levelling the upper platform (Plot 3, 4), 1.100 cubic meters excavated for the upper platform (Plot 2, 3, 4), 25 m guide beam for Access B.
  • March 2025: 70 diaphragm wall panels, 363m guide beam, 12 barrettes, installation of 10 precast concrete pillars, 2 deep wells finalized, 2 temporary structures erected, 840 square meters of levelling for pouring concrete on the upper platform and 21m guide beam for Access B;
  • February 2025: first stage of monitoring was completed, the necessary demolishion, guiding walls and excavation to the upper platform were executed, the decomissioning of the electrical network and execution of the diaphragm walls (97,6m out of 360m, executed) are in progress;
  • January 2025: geotechnical and topographical investigations, fencing instalation, and site organization have been completed; the monitoring equipment is operational, site preparations and demolishion have been completed,  guiding walls and excavation to the upper elevation have been executed according to the schedule, including completion of a deep well;
  • December 2024: Perimeter fencing, utility network surveys, installation of warning signs and topographic measurements were carried out.
The future M6 metro line will transform the daily commute into a pleasant and fast journey to important destinations within the capital and Ilfov. Stations under construction:
