
It is located along the eastern side of the Bucharest-Ploiești Road, adjacent to the Băneasa Underpass, at the intersection of Bucharest-Ploiești Road and Aerogării Boulevard, near the green space in front of the Băneasa Airport entrance. The station is 159 meters long and up to 24.1 meters wide.

Status of works
- September 2025: 911 plastic piles, 177 piles for Access B and 7,470 cubic meters concreted. On September 30, TBM “Sfânta Ana” broke through the wall of the future metro station Aeroport Băneasa, completing the second tunnel segment between the future Tokyo and Aeroport Băneasa metro stations: 900 m excavated and 600 tunnel rings assembled represents the first tunnel segment of the Line 1 on the double way between the two future metro stations. Implementation percentage of civil works: 73%.
- August 2025: aprox. 53,000 cubic meters excavated and 6,743 cubic meters concreted. On August 18, “Sfânta Maria” TBM broke through the wall of the future metro station. Implementation percentage of civil works: 68%.
- July 2025: 51,678 cubic meters excavated and 4,668 cubic meters of concrete poured. Implementation percentage of civil works: 63.5%.
- June 2025: 35,528 cubic meters excavated and 3,160 cubic meters concreted. Implementation percentage of Civil Works: 56,5%.
- May 2025: all 381m guide beam, all the 72 diaphragm wall panels, all the 9 plastic D-Walls, 28,178 cubic meters excavated, 2,400 cubic meters concreted;
- April 2025: 370m guide beam, 67 diaphragm wall panels out of 72, 67 piles finalized for Access A, 152 piles finalized for Access B, 691 plastic walls out of 922, 26,076 cubic meters excavated, 1,737 cubic meters concreted;
- March 2025: 62 diaphragm wall panels, 67 piles finalized for Access A, 152 piles for Access B;
- February 2025: 691 plastic piles of 922, 8 plastic D-Walls;
- Ianuary 2025: 338m guide beam out of 372, 62 diaphragm wall panels out of 72, 683 plastic piles out of 922;
- December 2024: 317m guide beam, 51 diaphragm wall panels, 674 plastic piles and 8 plastic walls; for Access A and B – 219 pilots;
- November 2024: the installation of the dewatering wells has been completed and the embankment for Access B has been concreted;
- Octomber 2024: 44 diaphragm wall panels and 674 plastic piles;
- September 2024: 288m guide beam, 34 diaphragm wall panels and 167 de plastic piles;
- August 2024: 229m guide beam, 23 diaphragm wall panels and 61 plastic plies.
- July 2024: 190m of guide beam out of a total of 370m and 22 diaphragm wall panels out of a total of 65 have been completed. For the Access A, 67 bored piles (out of a total of 150) with 152 bored piles (out of a total of 177) completed for Access B. Work is currently underway to reroute the telecommunications and water networks, followed by the continuation of the diaphragm wall construction works;
Work on the upcoming Aeroport Băneasa – Tokyo interstation is being carried out to divert the telecommunications network. Work will soon start on the bored piles; - June 2024: bored piles and diaphragm wall panels were poured and various works were carried out to organize the site;
- May 2024: works on the bored piles and excavation for the diaphragm walls were carried out, 8 casings of the diaphragm walls have been assembled and 592 cubic meters of concrete were cast in the diaphragm walls;
- March 2024: formwork, reinforcement, excavation and concreting works for the guide beams were carried out while works on the bored piles and preparations for the diaphragm walls continue; Utility surveys were carried out at the Aeroport Băneasa – Tokyo interstation;
- February 2024: enclosure with fencing; manual excavations and utility surveys, topometric measurements and environmental monitoring have been carried out; soil has also been checked; ballast platform fills; concrete pouring and reinforcement works have started on the guide beam, as well as organization and supply of the bored piles;
Work has also begun on the Aeroport Băneasa – Tokyo interstation; here 27 meters of the existing fence have been removed and 94.5 m of site fencing have been installed, along with utility surveys.
