Starting from Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at 10:00 a.m., traffic will be restricted on lane 1 on the roadway shoulder between General Ștefan Holban Street and Selgros Cash & Carry.
The STB station at the intersection of General Ștefan Holban Street and Bucharest – Ploiești Road, towards Otopeni – Bucharest, will be relocated approximately 100 meters towards Otopeni.
Traffic restriction occurs as a result of site activities under the construction contract “Bucharest International Airport Rail Access Link Project (Metro Line 6. 1 Mai-Otopeni). Design and Build – Civil Works for Lot 1.1: 1Mai-Tokyo” at the upcoming subway station Aeroport Băneasa, on the alignment of the future M6 metro line, Southern Section.
Traffic will be restricted according to the plan approved jointly by C.N.A.I.I.R. and I.G.P.P.R.
Road signalization is carried out according to legal requirements applicable.

The project Bucharest International Airport Rail Access Link Project (Metro Line 6. 1 Mai – Otopeni) is a public utility project of national importance, according to Government Decision no. 496/2017,as amended, which ensures the mobility needs of people through the development of the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T).
