The traffic restriction on Bd. Mărăști, in the area of Piața Montreal – Piața Presei Libere is extended until November 15, 2024, according to the renewed Traffic Notice.
Execution activities at the future metro station Piața Montreal on the alignment of the future M6 line, South Section, within the framework of the execution contract “Bucharest International Airport Rail access link project (Metro line 6. 1 Mai – Otopeni). Design and execution of the resistance structure of stations, galleries and tunnels. Lot 1. – 1Mai-Tokyo” necessitate the closure of the three existing traffic lanes on Bd. Mărăști, between Piața Montreal and Piața Presei Libere.
The traffic diversion plan is endorsed by the Technical Traffic Commission of the Bucharest City Hall, Transportation Department, by Opinion No. 4257/08.04.2024, by the Bucharest Streets Administration, and by the Bucharest Traffic Police, by Opinion No. 2791116 SSR/BS/10.05.2024.
Traffic diversion and road signage in the works area are carried out in accordance with the legislation in force.
The detour is signposted by information panels about the restriction at the intersections: Bd. Ion Mihalache – Str. Aviator Popișteanu, Str. Aviator Popișteanu – Bd. Expoziției, Str. Parcului – Bd. Expoziției – Str. Aviator Traian Vasile, Bd. Mărăști – Str. Alexandru Constantinescu, and Bd. Mărăști – Bd. Mareșal Alexandru Averescu.
For pedestrians, crossing is ensured at the existing crossings at the ends of the restricted road section.
