The traffic restriction from Băneasa Train Station – Miorița Fountain is extended

The traffic restriction on București – Ploiești Road, in the area of Băneasa Train Station – Miorița Fountain, is extended until 08.10.2024, according to the renewed Traffic Permit.

The preparatory activities at the future Gara Băneasa metro station, part of the future M6 Metro Line, South Section, under the execution contract “Bucharest International Airport Rail Access Link Project (Metro Line 6. 1 Mai – Otopeni). Design and Build – Civil Works for Lot 1.2: Tokyo – Aeroport Otopeni)”, necessitate the occupation of two traffic lanes on the inbound direction towards Bucharest (lanes I and II).

IMPORTANT: Road traffic will continue to flow on two lanes in each direction on București – Ploiești Road in the aforementioned area.

The traffic diversion plan has been approved by the Technical Traffic Commission within Bucharest City Hall, the Directorate of Transport, the Bucharest Roads Administration, and the Bucharest Traffic Brigade. The traffic diversion and road signage in the construction area are carried out in accordance with the legislation in force.

“Bucharest International Airport Rail Access Link Project (Metro Line 6. 1 Mai – Otopeni)” project is a public utility project of national interest, as per Government Decision no. 496/2017, with subsequent amendments and completions, ensuring the mobility needs of people through the development of the trans-European transport network (TEN-T).
