Temporary traffic restrictions at the Piața Presei Libere Passage

Access to the Piața Presei Libere Passage will be restricted from 23.04.2024 to 25.04.2024, 23:00 – 06:00.

Topographic operations are in progress, under the construction contract “Bucharest International Airport Rail Access Link Project (Metro Line 6. 1 Mai-Otopeni). Design and Build – Civil Works for Lot 1.1: 1Mai-Tokyo” in the Piața Presei Libere Passage, at the upcoming Montreal station on the alignment of the future M6 metro line, South Section.

The installation of the topo markers in the underpass is carried out with the approval of the Traffic Police, General Directorate of the Bucharest Police.

With the exception of the intervals mentioned above, the traffic on the specified road segment will continue under normal conditions.

IMPORTANT: traffic is not restricted or diverted on the roadway outside the passage.

Signage of the works will be carried out in accordance with legal requirements and, upon completion of the works, traffic will be reopened and the road signs will be restored to their original condition.

In order to minimize the inconvenience caused to traffic, works will be carried out exclusively at night.

“Bucharest International Airport Rail Access Link Project (Metro Line 6. 1 Mai – Otopeni)” is a public utility project of national importance, according to Government Decision no. 496/2017, as amended, which ensures the mobility needs of people through the development of the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T).
