On Monday, 13.05.2024, starting at 10:00 a.m., S.T.B. will move the “Aeroport Băneasa” bus stop, approximately 50 meters from its current location, in the direction of Otopeni.
Starting from Tuesday, May 14, 2024, the traffic on the beltway in front of the Băneasa Airport will be temporarily closed for two days.
This change occurs as a result of the preparatory activities under the construction contract “Bucharest International Airport Rail Access Link Project (Metro Line 6. 1 Mai-Otopeni). Design and Build – Civil Works for Lot 1.1: 1Mai-Tokyo” at the upcoming Aeroport Băneasa subway station on the future alignment of the future M6 metro line, Southern Section.
The action of moving the station is done with the approval of the responsible authorities.
Signalization of the works and relocation of the S.T.B. station will be carried out according to legal requirements in force.

The project “Bucharest International Airport Rail Access Link Project (Metro Line 6. 1 Mai – Otopeni)” is a public utility project of national importance, according to Government Decision no. 496/2017,as amended, which ensures the mobility needs of people through the development of the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T).
