On Monday, May 13, 2024, from 10.00 am, S.T.B. will relocate the “Aeroport Băneasa” bus station approximately 50 metres from its current location, in the direction of Otopeni.
Starting from Tuesday, May 14, 2024, the traffic on the beltway in front of the Băneasa Airport will be temporarily closed for two days.
This change occurs as a result of the preparatory activities under the construction contract “Bucharest International Airport Rail Access Link Project (Metro Line 6. 1 Mai-Otopeni). Design and Build – Civil Works for Lot 1.1: 1 Mai-Tokyo” at the future Aeroport Băneasa metro station on the future alignment of the future M6 Metro Line, South Section.
The action of moving the bus station is done with the approval of the responsible authorities.
Signage of the works and relocation of the STB station will be carried out according to legal requirements in force.
We would thank all STB passengers and traffic participants on the above mentioned route for their understanding.
“Bucharest International Airport Rail Access Link Project (Metro Line 6. 1 Mai – Otopeni)” is a public utility project of national importance, according to Government Decision no. 496/2017, as amended, which ensures the mobility needs of people through the development of the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T).
