Between November 6 and 15, 2025, infrastructure works will be carried out, with temporary road signage approved by IPJ Ilfov – Serviciul Rutier..

Starting Friday, November 7, 2025, at 07:30 AM, road traffic, including bus routes, in the Departures area will be diverted to the newly constructed lanes, in accordance with the approved traffic management plan for the works related to the “Aeroport Otopeni” metro station under Metro Line 6.

The BUCHAREST INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT RAIL ACCESS LINK PROJECT (Metro Line 6. 1 Mai – Otopeni). Design and Build – Civil Works for Lot 1.2: Tokyo – Aeroport Otopeni is a public utility project of national interest, established under Government Decision no. 496/2017, as amended and supplemented, aiming to meet passenger mobility needs through the development of the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T).

Metro Line 6 will provide a direct connection from Gara de Nord to Henri Coandă International Airport.

Between 3 and 23 November 2025, road traffic between Strada Jandarmeriei and Bulevardul Dr. Liviu Librescu is temporarily closed to allow construction works at the future “Washington” Metro Station, part of the BUCHAREST INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT RAIL ACCESS LINK PROJECT (Metro Line 6. 1 Mai – Otopeni). Design and Build – Civil Works for Lot 1.2: Tokyo – Aeroport Otopeni.

During this period, traffic will be diverted along the following route:
-> Aleea Privighetorilor –> Bulevardul Alexandru Nasta –> Bulevardul Dr. Liviu Librescu.

These measures are implemented based on the approval issued by CNAIR and the General Inspectorate of the Romanian Police – Traffic Directorate. Road signage will be provided according to the approved traffic management plan. Upon completion of the works, traffic will return to its normal configuration.
