
On the night of Thursday to Friday, 20–21 November 2025, from 23:00, changes will be made in the area of the traffic restriction introduced at the junction of the DN1, Șoseaua București – Ploiești, with Strada Elena Văcărescu and with Strada Constantin Dobrogeanu Gherea, for a new stage of the works on Metro Line 6, SOUTH Section.
Traffic measures:
- Lane 3 will be closed in each direction of travel.
- The New Jersey concrete barriers on the central axis of the DN1 will be removed and replaced with white and red plastic bollards. The road signs will be set out in accordance with the approved traffic plan.
The measures are being implemented on the basis of the approval issued by CNAIR and IGPR.

The project “Metro Line 6. 1 Mai – Otopeni, Connection of the metro network to Henri Coandă International Airport – Otopeni” is a public utility project of national interest, in accordance with Government Decision no. 496/2017, as subsequently amended and supplemented, which addresses people’s mobility needs through the development of the trans-European transport network.
Metro Line 6 will provide the direct link from Gara de Nord to Otopeni International Airport.
Metro Line 6 is a project for Romania.
