Spring has made itself felt on the Bucharest metro network too. Metrorex representatives welcomed women passengers with flowers and mărțișoare — the traditional spring tokens — offering their spring wishes and bringing extra colour and cheer to the metro stations.
The initiative is part of the tradition of celebrating the arrival of spring and sending good wishes to all passengers.
Passengers arriving at Piața Unirii 1 station can stop for a spring photograph. A special “instagrammable” board has been set up there for the season.
