
In order to execute the preparatory works for the future Otopeni metro station, within “Bucharest International Airport Rail Access Link Project (Metro Line 6. 1 Mai – Otopeni)” the following traffic restrictions have been established in Otopeni:
– The DN1 road towards Bucharest, between km 13+493 and km 14+345, has been restricted to 2 lanes.
– The public transport station for lines 441, 442, 443, 446, 447, 448, 100 and Blue Line, towards Bucharest, has been relocated 50 meters in Bucharest direction.
– The 23 August Street connection with DN 1 road has been closed, affecting the routes of lines 403 and Blue Line.
The restrictions have been implemented according to the Opinion issued by the National Road Infrastructure Management Company (C.N.A.I.R.) and the General Inspectorate of the Romanian Police – Road Directorate and comply with the provisions of the MI-MT Order no. 1112/2000 on the establishment of traffic restrictions.
The temporary road signalization related to the restrictions has been implemented according to the plan approved by the above-mentioned authorities.

M6 Metro Line will provide a direct connection between Gara de Nord to Otopeni International Airport. It will have a route of 14,2 km and will include 12 metro stations: Pajura, Expoziției, Piața Montreal, Gara Băneasa, Aeroport Băneasa, Tokyo, Washington, Paris, Bruxelles, Otopeni, Ion I. C. Brătianu, Aeroport Otopeni.
